YouTuber Anurag Dobhal “UK07 Rider” Arrested in Dehradun Over Attempt-to-Murder Charges

Bigg Boss 17 fame YouTuber Anurag Dobhal, known online as UK07 Rider, landed in serious legal trouble on Monday night. Police arrested him in Dehradun along with three associates. The charges include attempt to murder, assault, and criminal intimidation. The complaint came from his wife’s cousin.

The Arrest

Police arrested Anurag Dobhal on the night of October 5, 2026. The arrest took place near Haridwar Bypass Road in Dehradun.

Officers from Nehru Colony police station responded to a call about a fight near a Nexa showroom around 10 PM. When they arrived, they found Dobhal and his associates allegedly assaulting Raj Singh Chauhan. Chauhan is the cousin of Dobhal’s wife, Ritika Chauhan.

“Our personnel reached the spot and found Dobhal and his associates assaulting a man identified as Raj Singh Chauhan, cousin brother of his wife,” said Dehradun SSP Pramendra Dobhal.

Police took both sides to the Bypass police outpost to prevent further escalation. But authorities say tensions continued even after reaching the outpost.

“During discussions at the outpost, Dobhal, Abhishek, Abhay Chaudhary and Kurbaan again attempted to assault Chauhan, despite being asked by police personnel to maintain peace,” the SSP said. “The four allegedly became aggressive and tried to engage in another fight, following which a crowd gathered at the spot.”

Police called additional personnel and arrested the four men under Section 170 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) to maintain law and order.

The Allegations

Raj Singh Chauhan works at a car showroom. He filed a complaint that led to an FIR at Nehru Colony police station.

In his complaint, Chauhan made several serious allegations:

  • Dobhal approached him from behind and grabbed him by the neck
  • Dobhal demanded his mobile phone password
  • When Chauhan could not unlock the phone, Dobhal allegedly told his associates to kill him
  • The group attacked him with an iron rod
  • He suffered injuries to his head, chest, and face
  • The group tried to push him under a car
  • One of the accused showed a knife and a gun
  • Dobhal allegedly said he had “committed two murders” and no one could harm him
  • His watch and gold chain were taken during the incident

Police sent Chauhan to Doon Hospital for a medical examination.

Officers registered a case under Sections 117(2), 191(2), and 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). These sections cover voluntarily causing hurt, rioting, and aggravated criminal intimidation.

Some reports also mention attempt-to-murder charges.

The accused named in the complaint include Anurag Dobhal, Abhay Chaudhary, Tapan Pandit, Dhaval Rajpurohit, Abhishek Tiger, Abhinav Srivastava, and Guru Bhai.

Three accused—Tapan Pandit, Dhaval Rajpurohit, and Abhinav Srivastava—remain absconding.

Anurag Dobhal’s Defense

Dobhal denied all allegations. He claimed he was attacked first.

“Basically, we were attacked in Dehradun. We called 112 and also submitted an application at the police station,” he said.

He also rejected allegations that he had visited someone’s house in Tehri to threaten them. He said he had not traveled to Tehri in about six months.

When asked who had assaulted Raj, Dobhal did not name anyone. He said he would present his side with “facts and figures” later.

Ritika Chauhan’s Response

Dobhal’s estranged wife, Ritika Chauhan, reacted on social media. She shared videos and her brother’s medical report.

She accused Dobhal of making false claims about being attacked first. She pointed out that he showed no visible injuries. Her brother, however, had clear injuries.

“Is insaan ne pehle ye cheez mere pe kari, phir apne maa-baap pe kari, mere pet Rio ko marne ki koshish kari, meri mummy pe haath uthaya,” she said. She alleged a pattern of violent behavior.

She also expressed fear for her family’s safety. “Ye wapas mere pe attack karega… meri mummy, mere bhai, wapas ye attack karne ki koshish karega. Mere bacche ko mujhse cheenane ki koshish karega taaki meri awaaz dab jaaye,” she said.

Background: A Family Dispute Turned Violent

The incident is linked to an ongoing family dispute between Dobhal and his estranged wife Ritika. The two married in April 2025. Their relationship later deteriorated in public.

In March 2026, Dobhal posted a two-hour video titled “The Last Message.” In it, he accused his wife and family of mental harassment.

Days later, he was in a serious car crash on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway. He was live-streaming on Instagram when the crash happened. Some reports suggested it was a suicide attempt.

Police are still investigating the current case. They have not released further findings beyond the arrests.

All allegations mentioned are based on police complaints and public statements. Nothing has been proven in court. This article is for informational purposes only.
